This EP was released back in 1993 and featured Everybody's Icon as the lead track, a song which originally appeared on the debut Collision EP in a more basic production. The band were in the US recording the Arrhythmia album with producer John Agnello and the track was recorded and mixed earlier in the session to enable the release as a single/EP. The 2 main extra tracks More Than You and When My Heart Bleeds, were produced by Paula Jones at Suite 16 in Rochdale earlier in the year ready for the EP. The last track was a little more radical - a dance remix of previous single Worthless, done by Caspar Pound aka The Hypnotist and The Irresistible Force and founder of Rising High Records. This track was also released as a double A-side 12" vinyl (along with Icon) in its own right and peaked at #7 in the UK Dance charts!
Added to this expanded edition is a previously unreleased version of Everybody's Icon - the 'Elektramix' was recorded with Carter USM producer Simon Painter at the same session as previous recordings for Heart, Something Real and the instrumental Collision. It is an alternate version to the other two previous recordings, and weighted very much on the keyboard/electronic side. Also added are two mixing desk test recordings from the Suite 16 session, which are subtly different from the final mixes. Enjoy.
